Research Interests:
I am generally interested in genome biology, genome size, and subgenome composition in polyploids. I will be studying these concepts in polyploid unisexual salamanders which represent a flexible model system for ploidy variation in tetrapods. In particular, I am interested in the Kentucky unisexual populations which have maintained a subgenome derived from a bisexual species that does not occur in the state.
